Adult Learning Theory is the study of how adults learn, develop, and make meaning from experiences through the interaction of prior knowledge, motivation, context, and reflection. It recognizes adults as active participants in their learning who use their experiences to construct new understanding and apply knowledge in meaningful ways (Merriam & Baumgartner, 2020).
